You can adjust various voice parameters in the application setting, such as pitch, speed, and language. Also, the following languages have gender options:
English (UK)
English (UK)
English (Australia)
Chinese (Simplified)
French
German
Japanese
*This feature requires iOS 10 or later. When the automatic language detection options is ON, the app tries to select a voice in your gender preference.
Here is how it works:
- Selecting a voice manually
Navigate: “Settings” > “Languages“. Then tap on a language that you want to use.
You also need to slide OFF the “Language Detection” switch. Otherwise, the app will override your selection.
- Let the app select a voice (Automatic)
Open the Setting screen, and slide ON the “Language Detection” switch. Then select your gender preference in “Gender of Voice“.
